The Sheriff has sentenced a peasant, Will
Stutely, to death for non payment of taxes. Robin disguises
himself as a butcher and starts a riot to get an interview with the
Sheriff. The sheriff's greed gets the better of him and he follows Robin to Sherwood and a trap.
Robin's plan is simple,
exchange the Sheriff for Will.
On the left the letter from the Sheriff to his lieutenant. Note the signature "Wheatley"! |
