37.   The Thorkil Ghost

'When strolling on All Hallows Eve the outlaws make a merry boast, to relieve the castle of its treasure and its ghost.'

Harold of Thorkil Castle insists he is being haunted by a Viking Ghost.

That's what he tells Robin, but of course Robin doesn't believe in ghosts.

The following is a song featured in this episode being song by the outlaws (with Derwent singing solo, although it would appear in the script it states Ned!).

Outlaws

A soul, a soul, a soul for a soul cake

Come save a soul, for a soul cake

One for Peter and two for Paul

And three for the Lord who saves us all

  Derwent

Put your hand in your pocket and draw out your key

Go down to the cellar and draw what you please

Give us cakes and ales and good strong beer

  Outlaws

And we'll come no more souling until next year.
